While you can not spot reduce fat it is possible to reduce the fat in your ankles when you lose some pounds. Usually the last place that you put on the weight is going to be the first place that it comes off.

When you are asking "How do I get rid of cankles?" there are some exercises that you can do which will help you reduce the look of cankles. The calf raise is the best exercise that I can recommend since it will quickly grow your calf muscles and give you a nice bit of definition.

Doing a calf raise is really easy. All that you have to do is put on a good pair of shoes and get ready to lift your body onto your toes instead of putting your weight on your entire foot. You can then go up and down for a few sets. Make sure that you hold just a little bit when you are at the top.

The important thing to remember is that all four causes need to be addressed in concert to get the answer to the long stressed over question of how do I get rid of cankles.
